Physical Appearance: Laela has a in-between build. Not quite thin not quite fat. Her skin is fair, with a few freckles here and there. She's strong from playing volleyball all the time. Her eyes are deep. If you know how, you can read her emotions easily.
Laela is tall and has big hands that she got from her father. She has callouses on her feet from walking bear foot all the time like she likes to do. Her hair is a reddish brown. She has a diamond shaped birthmark on her shoulder. She prefers to wear light clothing in weight because of her mutation. She usually wears tee-shirts and shorts.

History: Laela was born into a fairly complete American family. She had both her mom and dad and they lived in a small apartment in Seattle. After a while she went to school and was a good student. She discovered her power when she was fourteen. She had just got off the phone after she was invited on a date with a boy she really liked. She was extremely excited and euphoric, when she found herself much closer to the floor. Her sight had changed, different colors, and she could hear everything. She looked at herself in the mirror and she had transformed into a cat. She was so surprised that the same thing happened and she turned back into a human.
She tested on herself and after a while she could change forms into any animal she wanted, but she just couldn't hold form for more then fifteen minutes, except the cat. She could hold that for two hours. On her sixteenth birthday, she lost control and transformed into a cat. Everybody freaked out.
Laela ran into the bathroom and changed back, the she changed into a fly. She managed to get out of there but just barely. She had never told her parents about her power and so she couldn't explain what had happened. She ran home and dashed into her room. Both her parents were at work so she didn't have to worry about them. She dumped her school stuff out and started packing her stuff.
It broke her heart to stop going to school. She wanted so much to go to collage, but she couldn't now that she had revealed her secret. Finally she had her diary, her clothes, her favorite reading book, her picture album, and many other things.
She hitch-hiked to LA where she found a job at a grocery store. She was able to earn enough to rent a one-room apartment and feed herself. She had been working there for for 9 months when Jake started working at the grocery store. after a little while the two started dating. about two weeks later they had their first kiss. It took all of her concentration not to transform.
She was in love.
Mutation: Laela has animorphisis. She can change completely into animals. Her main form is a calico cat with blue eyes. Her form is very convincing, however she can only stay in the forms for fifteen minutes except for the cat which she can stay in for two hours.
She can understand animals because of this and she can smell and hear better then the average human. Her taste and sight are slightly duller though. Sometimes she changes when she is extremely happy or excited. She must change back into her human form before changing into another animal.
Her clothes are sort of absorbed into her when she transforms, so when she changes back into a human she still has her clothes, but the more clothes she's wearing and the size of the animal affect how heavy she feels. If she's wearing a spaghetti strap belly-shirt and a mini-skirt, and she transforms into a elephant, she will barely feel the weight of the clothes. If she transforms into a flea while wearing a full winter Eskimo outfit, she'll be practically pinned down by the weight. Because of this she likes to wear the lightest clothes in weight possible. She can tolerate more weight when in cat form then when in other forms. She can't stay in animal form when she is asleep or very drowsy.

Report of Mutant Capture:They walked out of the movie theater. Laela didn't even remember what the movie was called. She was just glad that she had been next to Jake. The movie theater was just a minute or two from her apartment, so she was going to walk there rather then get a ride home.
Jake kissed her goodnight and again it sapped her strength not to transform, but she was used to it. When they stopped he leaned and whispered into her ear, "I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, but I never had the courage. I love you."
Laela took a second to take in the words. How is it possible that only a year after she had lost her parents, her friends, her home, everything that was familiar and her life was ripped apart that everything was perfect and wonderful. She leaped inside out of complete euphoria. The seventeen year-old girl hoped that he would never have to suffer the knowledge of who- or what- she was. The night after they had their first kiss she had barely made it until he had driven out of sight to transform. Luckily it was a dark night and she was pretty sure no one saw.
She leaned close to his ear and whispered back, "I love you too." They kissed again then said goodbye. She walked slowly back to her apartment, taking in what had just happened. When she got there she flopped down on her bed and sighed. This was the happiest day of her life.
A knock from the door reached her ears. Wondering who it could be she went and answered it. five men in black came rushing in. One grabbed her. Her automatic response to danger was to change into a cat. She leaped into the face of the man and scratched it, but the man was stronger then her. He picked her up by the scruff and threw her down on the bed. One man held her down while another put a shot into her.
Suddenly she was very drowsy. She could hardly keep her eyes open. Her spine tingled and she realized that she was a human again. They put handcuffs on her and tied her up with ropes. They picked her up and carried her out. She looked back at the picture of Jake on her dresser. Tears started running down her face and she whispered, "Goodbye Jake" because even though she didn't know where she was being taken, she was sure she would never see him again if she even survived. Her last memory was being thrown into a black van then everything went blank.
Sorry I totally changed the RP example. I looked at the original and decided it sucked, plus this is my one chance to change it.
