It was cold. She shouldn't be here. What if a guard comes? She shouldn't be here. This was her last set of clothes. She shouldn't be here.
But she was. It had been too long since she had released any kind of energy. She hadn't been with Gerg in a while. She had to do something.
It wasn't like she was going skinny dipping anyway. She would still keep her underwear on. It couldn't hurt. So she took off her clothes and tip toed to the shore. When she found the water to be icy cold, she found a rock, knowing that it would be much easier to just jump in. Which is exactly what she did.
It was just the shock she needed. She let out a howl and turned over, floating on her back. She would stay here as long as she needed. Until she relaxed and felt clean. She figured it would take a while and she was perfectly ok with that.

Jett chewed thoughtfully on the strand of grass dangling lazily from the corner of his mouth. His eyes had become unfocused as he stared at the lake water and allowed his mind to drift. He thought of numerous things, including women in his life, the Dreamers, his past, and what was going to come of the future. Sharp ribs, the kind Demetrio had had when Jett had met him in the market, poked precariously at his shirt. It hadn't taken him long without food to be reduced to such a state. Jett avoided the market place now. Ever since the shooting.
Dark bags of malnutrition and insomnia packed themselves under his eyes. His skin was pale as if something with fangs had consumed all his blood and left him wander the streets of Freakopolis forever.
Despite his disposition the man didn't curse or pin the blame on the ruthless guards. He merely kept more and more to himself--besides when he was with the Dreamers--thinking about the things he should be grateful for and what he had of value in life. Not all was lost.
A splash of water caught his attention. If he hadn't known any better he would have said it was a naked woman, from what he caught from the corner of his eye. Curious, Jett sprang into a crouch and snuck towards the figure who now floated on their back.
Sure enough, it was a woman. His eyes widened as he took her in. And he wasn't looking at her face.
Without realizing, Jett was standing there and staring. He was reminded abruptly how long it had been since he'd touched a woman in a non friendly manner. His eyes glazed over. He thought of Manisha that day her shirt was wet. But this was better.

She turned over on her back and looked up. She didn't want to see herself, certain that the lack of food had destroyed her figure. She took a deep breath and turned her face to the right. Half her face was under water but she could still see that her shoulder had become sharp, her collar bone visibe.
When she couldn't take it anymore, she got out of the water. And there was a man there. Like her, he was thin and gaunt. As she looked at him, she felt the urge to speak but didn't know what to say. She looked around. It was just the two of them. She took a step forward. Her hand instantly went to the back of the neck.
She wanted to make him smile like Gerg did. She chewed on her lip, contemplating how she could get this to happen. But of course, the only thing that came to mind was,
"Hello."

Jett ducked his head, slightly embarrassed at having been caught. As she came closer he recognized her face. She was the woman from the playground. He remembered that night with the robot and the child. He had ran. She had called him...what was it? Whatever, he was certain she did not hold him in the highest respects. He could accept that. Jett had no intention of getting in the way of her claws.
"Oh, uhm, hello." He replied hastily, anxiously glancing to the side. He did not know why she touched her neck, but the action made him nervous as well. He turned away as he continued, "Forgive me, I heard a noise and didn't know there was someone else here." With his back to her, he hesitated before walking away. It was likely she would have him leave, what with her being half naked. But perhaps, he thought on a whim, she might have him stay...
