He stood in the middle of the orchard, taking a bite into his lower lip breaking the scab again. ’How the hell did I end up here? How the hell did I get caught?’ His mind seemed to ask, even though he knew already knew the answer. ’Damn that girl and her mother, I tried to save her.’ His foot kicked into the ground, a buzz of pain following. He ignored it.
He couldn’t quite remember what happened this morning; he supposed it was the stress of everything. He woke up in a cell, blinked a few times in confusion and was out of it again, ‘a drug perhaps? He shrugged. He woke again after that. ’How much time pasted? Hours? Minutes? … Days?’ He found himself unable to answer. He cursed under his breath. He walked here from there, avoiding people for the most part, he didn’t want to talk, he wanted to know what was happening but he didn’t want to seem so helpless. ’Places like these have factions… Places like these will rip you apart…. They don’t care if you die hell, you’d be doing them a favor.’
His eyes burned with frustration, a thin line of blood dripped down his chin as he dug into his lip once more. He crammed his hand into his pocket, brushing up against a small figurine. He blinked remembering that he grabbed it before attempted to scale the side of his apartment building, he was surprised to see they didn’t bother it. Holding it out he stared at the small plastic angel, no more than two inches in height. He smiled at her.
’That’s a bit ironic. Finding her in this hell.’ He closed his eyes for a second, opening them again after he nudged her with his mind. She flexed her plastic wings and a smile spread over her face, apparently grateful. She tried to lift off, however the wings couldn’t hold her.
“My apologies, but it seems as if you’re trapped here just like I am.” He held out a finger, allowing her to climb onto it.

Rohan didn't usually hang out in the orchard; the place was a little too fruity for him. There were only three types of people hanging out there: the workers, the lovers, and the idiots.
He had the feeling that the kid on the ground was in the last group.
Rohan himself was in the orchard on a mission. A Protector mission of his own devising. He had the feeling that if any of the escapist groups wanted out, they'd have to find secret places to meet and plan their escape. Their failed escape, since no one ever got out. All it took was a little bit of mutant super power and suddenly people thought they were the exception to every rule. Idiots.
Rohan was standing on a branch with one arm wrapped around the trunk of the tree, and he squinted through the leaves at the monkey below.
"Hey, would you serenade your little butterfly somewhere else? You're blocking my view."

Mathias blinked in confusion for a moment, glancing around the orchard to see no one… on ground level anyways. Glancing up he saw him. ’Damn… How long has he been there?’ Mathias cleared his throat, “Then maybe you should be the one to leave…”, then lowering his voice he mumbled to himself, “ ‘sides, it isn’t a butterfly… she’s an angel.” The angel fell limp instantly after this, the life drained from her.
“What are you doing here anyways? And… why are you stalking around in the trees? It’s a bit… creepy…” Mathias blinked, he could have chosen those words better. He sighed, His feet moving for him as he crossed the gap in the tree's to rest on one across from the guy, keeping his eyes on him. 'You're hardly making a good impression here...' He thought to himself.

((No worries. )) "Creepy?" Rohan repeated indignantly, almost losing his balance as he tried to take a menacing step forward and only belatedly remembered that he was standing on a tree branch. Whose idea was that? Oh, right. His. "What's creepy is seeing full-grown men playing with bugs. Don't you have a job or something? Girls are the ones that hang out in forests writing poetry and crying in the grass."
