Character Playlist

[Emby Foster]

We talked about this originally in the "On Your Mind" thread. I don't expect these to be made into a playlist or anything. Just thought it be fun to put songs down we think are related to our characters. I'm going to put some down for Emby with small little definitions relating the song to Emby. I think it'd be fun if we gave other charries songs we think suit them. Like, other charries being ones that aren't ares. :p

About how fragile Emby is. Kind of about her dealings with Jacob so far but in a more abstract way. She cares for him but she can’t really express everything with him in hope of keeping him out of trouble over her.

I’m Not Okay – My Chemical Romance

I think this speaks for itself.

Never Gonna Find Me – The Offspring

Her rebellion song. Lol

In My Mind – SR-71

Um, this song is about losing someone you love and giving anything to see them again. How Emby feels about her dad (and mom) but it works more for her dad since the song is about a dead loved one he keeps seeing at night.

Lullabies – All Time Low

Song is about singer’s bro’s suicide and how he feels about it. For Emby it stands for her father’s and how it’s shaped her and how she feels as well.

Coffee Shop Soundtrack – All Time Low

This song is written about an affair a student (singer) had with his teacher. This is Emby’s wish about Sulley. Lol. But it isn’t that defined yet so it shall be saved for now. :p

Maku honestly wants to live life. This also is a Dreamers type thing~

Fireflies by Owl City

I'm relating to the lyrics. Since of Freakopolis, everything has changed and life for Maku is rather quickened to less about being a teen and providing for himself. And Insomnia.

Cave In by Owl City

Because he has to provide for himself, Maku feels very pressured. This song is basically for how tired he is and how he feels weighed down. And Insomnia, again.

Who Am I from Peter Pan

If you find this song & lyrics, good job~ This is song is basically about questioning his place in the world. Considering he's a mutant, after living a normal life.

Lucian's got a few.

Terminator 3 opening theme
One of a few songs that captures Lucian's desire for conquest and utter domination, if not just from the familiarity of the theme then from its own sound.

The Cyborg Slayers - Dethklok
Admittedly, this one's just for fun, but pitched battles with mechanical monsters are always good to have in mind just in case.

You're Not A Good Person - Portal Soundtrack
The song that, really, best captures the cold mechanical demeanor of Lucian and his servants.

Droid Invasion - Star Wars Episode I Soundtrack
Essentially the intention of the Terminator 3 theme only a little more obscure in terms of familiarity.

Professor Layton Theme (live version) - Tomohito Nishiura
I really love this song, and it serves a dual purpose. Pieces of it can be heard to imply the web of deception and domination that Lucian slowly weaves, whereas the song as a whole encapsulates how Lucian was before he was a machine. While I'd rather not spoil it all here, he was a bit of a quick and clever fellow at the time.
