The punch had sent Curtis into the ground, hard. His wound on his shoulder his reopened and was bleeding little by little. How did Curtis get into this situation?
Oh yeah he'd walked into the areana curiously and wound up getting into a scrap with some green guy. Apparently this was Rebellion turf, whatever that meant. Probably was some club or something. Did the have clubs in Freakopolis?
These thoughts raced through Curtis' head as he rolled to the left before standing up as a foot appeared where he'd just been. Putting his fists up Curtis warily looked at the green man. " S-stop. " Curtis said as the man stomped forward. As he puncehd Curtis dodged by ducking before hitting the guy in the chest with full force making him wheeze before Curtis sent a round house kick to the mans side sending him to the ground. Curtis danced backwards a few paces as the man stood back up wiping his lip. Gently the Native American looked around. there were others. He wasn't getting away.
" Look if you just let me go no one will get hurt alright? I... I might kill you if we keep this up. " Curtis said cracking his knuckles. His bone structure was already shifting as if Getting ready to spring. It wouldn't be good if they did. For the other mutants in the areana or Curtis.
The green mutant chuckled before stalking forward more.
Curtis gulped. If he killed this guy... It wouldn't be his fault.

Sulley slipped a shirt over his head as he entered the arena, yawning sleepily and extending his arms as he walked. He'd recently awoken from his midday nap and had decided to wander over to the one place you could always find a Rebellion member. It wasn't because he wanted the security of being around others on his side, nor was he looking forward to intent conversations about escape. Sulley just wanted a chance at a glimpse of a certain someone. Just a chance.
First the arena, breakfast afterward, he decided as he yawned for a second time with his eyes half closed. He noticed commotion, but it didn't really phase him. Sure, his sharpness refocused itself onto his arms...but fights were always breaking out everywhere. There wasn't much he could do about it.
Except of course get involved.
Sulley stopped walked and spun on his heel to face the racket. Of course one of the brawlers was Haha. That green monkey never could keep his fingers to himself. He loved the thrill of a fight, even if he wasn't all that great at it. No, scratch that. Haha was an excellent fighter. Problem was, he had absolutely no power in his mutation. Just green skin. Talk about getting the short stick in life.
The other guy was...well his back was to Sulley, but from his skin and hair color he looked either Mexican or Native American. That caught Sulley's attention. He strained his eyes for a better look. Well, when he got socked in the face that certainly gave his face a good showing to the people all around.
The breath caught in Sulley's throat. He hummed down his anger with clenched fists as he watched Curtis stand and get Haha on the ground in seconds. Pride filled his chest, along with anger.
"I'll kill you this time." Sulley called. His voice was quiet and yet it echoed and reverberated throughout the arena. The other members either watched with growing interest or tried to pretend they weren't watching. Sulley had a habit of embarrassing people, and when folks like Haha were ashamed they tended to take their anger out on those easiest to hurt.
Sulley ignored the green man as he approached Curtis, looking his cousin over with sharp eyes. It was the best way to deal with Haha right now. The kid had a temper. Talking wouldn't do any good, he had a tongue as well. All you could do with someone like him was ignore him. Sure, it infuriated Haha, but at least it didn't give him a chance to do something he'd regret.
"What are you doing here?" Sulley asked Curtis, his voice no more friendlier than when he had spoken to Haha. The question was seemingly in reference to the arena, but a subtle wave might have implied their surroundings, Freakopolis, as well.

Curtis heard the menacing voice. To him it sounded vaguely familiar but he didn't know where from. And then the owner was in front of him. And Curtis knew who it was instantly. It made him take a staggering step backwards his fists falling with low thuds to his sides. Haha vanished from his mind.
So this is where Sulley had ended up. Mutations must have ran in the family.
" Sulley? " Curtis asked as if trying to convince himself. Could this be the Sulley he'd known all those years ago? This Sulley looked different. Harder, more rough and war torn or some trash like that. But it was Sulley none the less. " Sulley Dew Trace? " he asked again.
" What are you doing here? "
Sulley asked the obvious question.
" Got caught of course. They dragged me here after I ran. My... Mutation prevented me from getting away.... Where have you been Sulley? " Curtis answered then asked still in shock. He blinked as he saw Haha attempt to push past Sulley. Instant reaction flew through Curtis and he flung his fist forward. But instead of the sound of a punch being delivered came the sound of flesh ripping. A white spike three inches long came from the top of Curtis's hand. The narrow bone pierced the green man making him gasp. Quickly Curtis jerked his hand out making the man scream. The boy looekd down at his bloody hand. haha's and his own had mixed.
And people wondered why he never used his mutation.

Haha must have been off his top that day. The Rebellion members knew not to touch Sulley. But for some reason the boy thought he'd shove Sulley out of the way to get to Curtis. Wrong move.
Haha's hand was sliced--because of his own force--almost completely off, and at the same time a white object whizzed by Sulley's face, right into Haha. The boy screamed shortly after. Sulley's eyes narrowed on his relative.
Well, this was a nice little turn of events. From the start it had seemed Curtis was the victim. See, Sulley let his people do what they wanted until something they did involved him or others. Fighting a family member of his was one of those things that got him involved. But now the tables were turned and it was his own cousin injuring one of his followers. A typical person would have chosen blood without qualms, but that was the problem. Haha was practically blood, having sworn himself to Sulley. The sharp-skinned man had sworn to protect them with his life. So what happened when two of the only things he was loyal to clashed?
"Idiots." Sulley hissed, both at Curtis and Haha. He didn't like the sensation in his chest that he got when he looked at Curtis; it was one he had little experience with, especially in this place. His mind marked it as a weakness and tried to drive it away.
"Did you come here just to fight, Curtis?" Sulley asked darkly, throwing out a hand that would be there to protect anything else shot in Haha's direction. He glanced over his shoulder at the green kid, spitting in disgust. "I'm not surprised about you. I know that's all ever do." He turned his glare back up at his cousin, unknowingly easing it's harshness. "If we're going to talk then it isn't going to be in the breaks between your punches. Put your...bones away.
"And you." Sulley turned to kick Haha in the ribs. "Go to the infirmary. See me when you're done there."
Honestly, it was like taking care of kids. Sulley was good at it, no?

The stench of blood filled Curtis' nostrils as Haha's hand was nearly cut off. Automatically he blinked. How could Sulley have done that? Was he so strong that he could nearly take off the green kids hand without a flinch? Had Sulley changed so much since they last time they'd saw each other? Curtis looked him over quickly.
No... He's still a punk. And looks like he found a new gang.
Curtis' teeth claenched lightly as Sulley called him an idiot. He had never taken well to insults. He glanced down at his bleeding hand White bones putruded from each side. If he put them away now, the blood would flow more freely. While he bones were in place they acted like a scab. They would retreat and heal at there own 0pace. Probably in an hour. Yeah he healed faster than most people but not at amazing ammounts of time and it wasn't always sure to heal. He had probably been in the infirmary more than any other mutant waiting for healers.
" Thanks but no thanks. I don't exactly trust any of these people Sulley. Not even you at this point. " He eyed Haha as he recieved a kick before he retreated backwards favoring his wounded hand as he left the arena. " Sulley... You shouldn't have cut his hand that bad. What I did wa son accident and He won't die from that. Well I can't really be sure but It didn't look bad. What you did was Brutal. But then again I should expect as much from the guy who left to join a pack of crack heads right? "
Curtis smirked lightly. Oh he was sort of relieved to see one of his ony surviving family members alive. But that didn't mean he was overjoyed to see the guy who had abandoned him. If anything he was pissed that he'd have to deal with it.
" So are you going to fight me because I hurt your little green giant or you going to let me leave Sulley? "

Sulley stood rigidly, staring at Curtis. It wasn't in a threatening or respect-demanding manner, but he just looked at him. A lot could have been taken from that look, mind you, but Sulley didn't give any intentional message in it.
"Nobody's keeping you here." He said quietly, not gently. It would probably be best if the kid just left. He didn't seem like he'd come to talk or reason anyway. Sulley could get over not having affiliations with his relatives. Even if it--in a way he wasn't sure he'd ever be able to describe--hurt.
