|Closed to Rosenna| A shirtless Sulley stalked over to the hut in which he'd find a savior, someone to rid him of his disability. It hadn't been intentional! Falling earlier that day had wound up in him being distracted and...and...well to make things short, he'd accidentally sharpened his back and now his shirt was in strips. But hey, he'd been resourceful and had used the cloth to wrap up a wound on his elbow...
Sulley sighed as he peered through the open door to find it empty. The place smelled funny, almost like a hospital, so he made sure to stay outside when he waited. She couldn't have been far, right? Where would a woman who sat around making clothes all day be anyways? It kind of made him angry, but he tried to reason with himself. He didn't have much to do either and yet he managed to never be in is cell.
That got him thinking about what he did do every day. Not much. It was kind of sad. A bit pathetic. Absolutely infuriating. All the more reason to leave.
Speaking of leaving, that got him started on the new members of the Rebellion. It hadn't been that big of a gathering to start off, but their numbers were slowly expanding. Ha, he'd have to get jackets.
Sulley say on a large rock, elbows on his knees, peering down at the ground as he thought.

Rosenna walked aimlessly. She was mad as a hornet as her meemaw would say. She kicked rocks as hard as she could and muttered under her breath. At one point, she just fell on the ground and stared at the sky until she could regain her composure.
She was looking for someone. Sulley. Apparently, he was the one to go to if one wanted to get out of this prison. She had always been bad with people and now she was stuck in close quarters with a mass of them. And these were worse than regular people. She could take a group of regular people, but this was a band of mutants! They had crazy powers and stuff!
"ARGH!" Rosenna shouted in her frustration.
Just then she saw a guy sitting outside of a building. He had his elbows on his knees and he was looking down. He was also shirtless. And very sculpted.
"He's not my type. Looks like a bad boy." Rosenna thought to herself. But then another thought came to her. He also looked like the rebellious type. The kind of guy that would plan a prison break.
Rosenna walked right up to the guy, put her hands on her hips and demanded, "Are you Sulley?"

Sulley heard the girl before she spoke but pretended not to notice. Sometimes the difference between noticing and not noticing could cost you your life. It was a subconscious habit he had whenever he was around mutants, which recently became always. Everyone here was a creature--an animal--in his book; they all had to be treated like ones, even if 'deep inside' they weren't.
Sulley's head snapped up at the girl, and with it an angry glare hardened his features.
"That's none of your..." he began in a hiss, only to stop mid sentence with an unreadable expression. He just sat there frozen with his mouth hanging open. You might have thought time had turned its back on him. His large dark eyes flickered frantically from the girl, to the sky, back to the girl, and around again.
Sulley gasped and began making choking noises, finally moving to clasp his throat with his hands. His body spasmodically lurched forward off the rock and onto the ground, and he managed to worm his way away from her.
Five feet away, apparently out of range of her mutation--he figured because suddenly his lungs didn't hurt so bad nor feel as tight--Sulley sharpened his arms and braced for an attack. He couldn't talk, unfortunately; he was still recovering.

"AW JEEZE!" Rosenna shouted. "HOLY CRAP! I AM SO SORRY!" She didn't really know what else to say as she saw Sulley writhing on the ground. She didn't mean for this to happen. She was angry and his response to her question was not the answer she was looking for.
He looked like he was going to survive anyway. He must've been pretty strong to have been able to get out of her range like that. She galloped towards him and was about to help him stand up, but as she grabbed his arm she let out a peircing scream. She jerked her bloody hands to her chest. She looked down at them in disbelief as the blood soaked through her only white shirt.
Her eyes went from her hands to Sulley's arm. There was nothing strange about them. But they felt razor sharp to her touch.
"Guess I deserved that..." She said quietly before Sulley could do anything to her. She braced herself. He looked dangerous. He had the same look in his eye as she did. Alive but still hollow. The kind of look that comes with the pointless killing of the ones you loved.
Rosenna knew that if he could kill people like she could, he would certainly have no problems killing her.

Sulley threw out an arm in defense when he saw the girl galloping towards him...like a horse. The effect was as expected. Her hands were sliced right through the palms. He grimaced and rolled away from her, clumsily managing to push himself to his feet. With both heels planted firmly in the ground, Sulley crouched and held one hand in front of him while the other remained bent at his side. The pose looked like something the karate kid would make. For him, it was easier to focus the sharpness fully into his hands and arms if he imagined them being sharp and pointed, which came about by extending his fingers and keeping his wrists tight.
He didn't know what she was doing now. She'd attacked him abruptly, but suddenly seemed as if she'd only wanted to talk. So why had she attacked him? He didn't understand. It showed in the way his dark eyes were hidden behind his rapidly blinking eyelids.
What was there to say? Explain yourself now or I'll kill you? Sulley didn't want to warn her. That would basically be saying 'If you really had planned on killing me then do it now before I make a move.' Only a fool would be that stupid.
But he'd be even dumber if he plunged in head first.
Sulley never had been a smart cookie.
Yelling, the man ran forward at the woman, attempting to get behind her, where--if he succeeded--he would constrain her with an unsharpened arm across the wait and a sharpened finger at her throat.

Rosenna tried to nurse her hands as well as she could. She clasped them under her arms. That didn't work. She just got blood everywhere. So she just sort of held them up so the blood wold just drip off.
She looked at Sulley, who was now crouched in some sort of crazy karate kid pose. She wanted to laugh but before she could, Sulley was behind her with one hand around her waist and the other around her neck, his index finger pointed at her throat.
"Uhm" she coughed. "Didn't anyone ever tell you not to fight a girl?" she asked him.
She was angry. Sure she had almost killed the guy but she didn't want to fight. This was crazy! She wondered if he would actually kill her.
But it was okay. She had all her attention on that one finger at her throat. She focused in on it, hoping that the effect would be as she expected. She didn't want to actually decay the finger. Just blacken it untill he let go of her. Hopefully, he would take the hint.

Sulley hissed at her smart remark and inched his finger closer. He really didn't want to have to do this. He'd only killed two mutants since arriving in Freakopolis. Believe it or not, he had no desire to add more to the number.
"Why did you attack me?" He growled over her words, not listening to what she said. Funny enough, she didn't seem scared. More so indignant. It made him want to take her life and get it over with, and at the same time he started to see her as less and less of a threat.
That is, until his finger started turning black. A burning pain shot up his hand and arm, making it go numb. Sulley thrust the girl away from him and stumbled backwards, gaping at his finger.
"What...what..." What could he say? There were no words to describe what he was seeing. Or the pain.

So there she was. Her eyes fixed on one knife-like finger.
"Why did you attack me?" he growled at her.
Rosenna laughed, still staring at that finger. It took longer than she had expected. She didn't want to permanantly damage it. As soon as the effect kicked in, Sulley pushed her away. Now it was his turn to lokk at his injured hands.
"What...What..." was all he could say.
Rosenna hoped that his finger would turn back to normal. She wouldn't want him to have to amputate it.
She adjusted her shirt, turned to Sulley and cocked her head.
"Why would you think that I was attacking you? I was trying to help you. The question is, why were you attacking me?" she said
The situation was almost comical. She had come here to find this guy so he could help her but after the fight, she had trouble even remembering why she wanted to leave.
"But just in case you don't understand. My power allows me to kill things at will. Like your finger there. It should be back to normal by now." she nodded in the direction of his hand.
"And so, if you were really going to cut my throat, you would've been on the ground before I even started bleeding."

Sulley stared at the girl. She spoke with confidence, as if she knew the secret of the universe and was content in keeping it to herself. The air of royalty that surrounded her was noxious. He felt like barfing.
Another glance at his finger confirmed his assumptions. When she'd started talking it had stopped hurting. The finger was back to normal. His body felt fine. He resolved not to get close to this specific mutant. It seemed like what she did only worked when she was close to a person.
Sulley intentionally stepped away from the woman, glancing at her bloody hands that she either wasn't feeling the pain of any more or had a high tolerance to. His expression was tart and decisive. Without a word he resumed his position on the rock.
His eyes implied she could help him further by leaving. Sulley didn't negotiate, bicker, or take kindly to threats.

He took a step away from her and looked at her hands. Her mind was screaming on pain but she wanted to keep the upper hand. She knew she was going to walk away from him, but she would do it as strongly as she could.
She flexed her fingers. Her face stayed the same, eyes steady, mouth set in a herd line. But she was going crazy from the stinging.
He sat on a rock. Rosenna felt herself getting angrier and angrier. But this time she would keep her head. She took one final look at the man. He was set in his way as well. She turned around to walk away and walked, steps heavy and even, to a place where she could clean her hands.
