Ryan Rushing walked onto the field with a sorry excuse for a ball in his hands. It was old and dirty and Ryan wasn't even sure it it was a ball but he could kick it. That was all he was really concerned about. Besides, the first rule of soccer was that the ball just has to be round. He dropped the ball to the ground, placed his foot on top of it and looked around. Took a step back and began kicking, moving his way down the open field. He let one foot back and fired it into the open air.
"Goal!" He yelled, pumping a fist into the air. He chuckled for a moment at himself then jogged to catch up to the ball, scooping it into his hands. He twirled the ball on his finger for a moment before throwing it up and bouncing it on his knee. You couldn't really play by ourself, so Ryan was just goofing off. He shrugged off his green cargo jacket made by the Madam herself and patted his black t-shirt clad tummy. He ran forward, kicking the ball to no set destination.

Silvia Carter had never been one to pass up on sports, least of all soccer. But she was a large chocolate brown wolf at the moment, so she would either scare the man or something. The wolf crouched in the grass watching him intensely before getting up onto all fours and stretching a little. "Goal!" He pumped a fist in the air and she frowned inwardly at how she hadn't already attacked him yet. She must be going soft. The wolf watched him dribble it around and she smirked, sorry mate but Silvia wasn't one to pass up playing tricks on anyone. She felt a rush of a playful mood and her body shape changed to that of a Border Collie. She ran at the man with the ball and attempted to steal it away from him. Silvia barked and her tail wagged like crazy. Her hazel eyes were watching every move the young man made until she decided to grab it gently in her teeth and run off to where he had kicked the 'goal'. She sat down with it and dropped it on the grass with a thud. Her ears pricked and she let out a small whine. She wanted to play!

Ryan's eyes widened as a little doggy disrupted his "game." For a moment, tension oozed from the dog into him and Ryan shuddered, tying to let it leave him. He chuckled loudly as the dog ran away with his ball before running after the it, a restful sigh escaping his lungs as chased after the little cutie. When the dog stopped, Ryan stooped down to its level and placed on hand on the ball. His other hand pet the dog's head gently. "You wanna play? Well, alright then." He said, hopping up and placing the ball under his arm.
"Let's do this right. Come with me, pup." He did a little whistle and patted his thigh as he walked to the estimated center of the field, hoping the dog would follow. He wouldn't turn down a game one-on-one, even if it was with a dog. Weren't they man's best friend anyway? "Count of three: one, two....THREE!" Ryan threw the ball into the air, jumped up and bounced it off his head. "Rushing for the punt!" He ran forward, falling the arch of the ball.

The man came closer and put a hand on both the ball and her head. Silvia's tail thimped on the grass and she looked at him attentively. "You wanna play? Well, alright then." He said and she yipped once as he took the ball back to the middle of the field. "Let's do this right. Come with me, pup." Silva followed eagerly as he whistled and patted his thigh, her tongue lolling out of her mouth and her tail wagging excitedly.
He waited till she got to him before speaking once more. "Count of three: one, two....THREE!" The man threw the ball up in the air and headed it. "Rushing for the punt!" He ran for the ball and Silvia raced after the ball before judging where it would fall to the ground. She ran further than she needed to and turned around in a spray of dirt and grass. Her paws flew over the ground and she leaped as high a she could into the air.
The top of her head met with the ball and sent it flying back the way it had come. She then saw a movement out of the corner of her eye and half turned her head as she landed smoothly. The young woman put her fingers in her mouth and whistled. Silvia's ears pricked at the sound and she looked hesitantly from the man to Liliana. She stepped from paw to paw until she had an idea. "Silvia, come here!" Lily called and Silvia raced over to where the ball was and grabbed it, bringing it over to Lily.
She dropped the ball at Lily's feet and sat promptly on the grass. Liliana stooped down low and patted the dog on the head before grinning. "Play nice with him, you hear? No bitting or growling." Lily teased and Silvia nodded once before taking the ball back in her mouth. The almost eighteen year old smirked before tying up her long black hair into a ponytail, the silver streaks shimmering.
"You feel like having a reff? I know that Silvia can sometimes cheat." Lily smiled and looked at the man with dark green eyes. Silvia barked once as she dropped the ball where it had been before.

Ryan stopped his chase for the ball, amazed by what this dog could do. For a moment, he forgot he was in Freakopolis. For a moment, he forgot dogs didn't exist where he now lived. He didn't realize he was playing with a mutant. He watched, eyes wide, as the dog preformed a head punt. "Wow," he said, before giving out a long whistle. He was snatched out of his appraising reverie when a new presence caught his attention.
He turned to the young looking girl and rose his eyebrows, curious. He walked over to the girl and the dog, realizing where he was and who he was with. "This dog...isn't an actual dog, is it? I mean he.r" A confused look crossed his face for a moment.
He knelt down in front of the dog. "So, Silvia, is it? How about you become human again and we play a real game. It wouldn't feel like a real win if I beat a dog." He got back up and nodded to Liliana.
"A ref would be good. I tend to cheat in ragtag games too." He smiled and gave her a wink before running of to fetch the ball, leaving the two girls alone for a moment.

"This dog...isn't an actual dog, is it? I mean her." He said after he had walked over to Lily and Silvia. "Technically at this point she it, but Silvia is a mutant." Lily said truthfully and Silvia stood on all fours as the man knelt down in front of her.
"So, Silvia, is it? How about you become human again and we play a real game. It wouldn't feel like a real win if I beat a dog." He said and Silvia nodded once before he got up and nodded to Lily. "Have it your way then." Silvia grinned before thinking of something to trigger a strong emotion. Lily and Mara...this made her feel overwhelmingly happy. Half a minute of bone changing, fur shrinking and height returning to 5 feet 2 inches made her human form complete. Her chocolate brown hair fell down to half way down her back in curly waves.
She discarded her black long coat and stood facing him in a burgundy sweater and dark blue jeans. "A ref would be good. I tend to cheat in ragtag games too." Ryan said with a wink to Lily and left the two girls alone for a while. "Did you just see that? He gave you a wink! You have a boyfriend for goodness sakes!" Silvia whispered hurriedly and Lily frowned a little.
It was quite ironic that Comfy Curtis was nowhere to be found at the moment. This annoyed Lily a little, but now was not the time to worry about it. "We'll set him straight later, but right now you have a soccer game to win." Lily said with a mature tone and Silvia nodded as she was pushed playfully onto the 'playing field'. She waited patiently for him to return with the ball before smirking.

Ryan scooped up the ball and walked back to the girls, but stopped when he noticed their whisperings. He rose an eyebrow, glancing to Silvia, wondering what she was saying to Silvia. He rose one hand to the mop of hair on his head, scratched and shook his head. "Come on, ladies! We're wasting daylight here!" He tossed the ball to Lily. "Starting from zero?" he asked the two of them.
ooc:: Sorry it's so short. Writers block. I promise they start to get longer again. lol

Post by Sarah I. Dark on Dec 29, 2009 22:15:20 GMT -5
Sarah Dark walked nowhere in particular and found herself staring at a small group of young adults. The woman named Madam Weaver had made her a pair of black skinny jeans and a dark burgundy spaghetti strap top. She had grabbed a jacket with silver starts and such all over it, the background was black. Of course she had somehow managed to get her Ipod back from a guard that had taken it.
She turned up the song that was currently playing, Stan Walker's 'Black Box'. She closed her chocolate brown eyes and put the hood up over her blonde hair. Sarah's Ipod was safely tucked in the pocket of her skinny jeans and did a handstand. She ignored the fact that her shirt left her midrif bare for a few moments. As slowly as she dared, she lifted one of her hands up off of the ground and held it out to the side for as long as she could. Sarah could have done more but she was surprised by the voice of a girl.
"Wow! You've been doing that for a minute now!" The black haired teen grinned and Sarah sighed before pushing off of her hands and flipping backwards. She miscalculated her landing and landed on her feet, but then wobbled and sat on her butt. "Come on, ladies! We're wasting daylight here!" A young man said before passing a very scruffy looking soccer ball to the black haired teen.
"It's actually not even real sunlight, gosh!" Sarah called out to the young man, her british accent was surprising if you considered they were supposedly in America. "Starting from zero?" The man had turned his attention away from the twenty year old young woman to address a brunette girl. "Sure, but don't be a sore loser when I beat you." The brunette said with her hands on her hips. Sarah smiled a little before watching as the black haired girl walked over to the two others with the ball before tossing it up in the air. The brunette jumped for it, hoping to not be at a disadvantage in the match.

Ryan turned his head to catch the end of Sarah's little gymnastic show. He placed the ball under his arm and clapped. "Impressive," he called out. It seemed Liliana and Silvia thought the same. He went back to his soccer business. When he had a game, he really couldn't think of anything else.
He turned away from the two girls he had previously been talking to to look at Sarah. "Does it not work the same way the real sun does? Sunrises and sunsets at the same time, I bet," he said, his eyes pushed together by the newcomer's abrupt rudeness. He turned back to Lily and Silvia, not sure if he liked Sarah's company all that much.
You're too quick, Ryan. She just got here, he told himself silently before chuckling at himself. He turned and followed Silvia to the already determined middle of the field. "I wouldn't be so quick to say that, little girl," he teased, a grin on his face. He crouched. ready to spring. He would use all his height to his advantage. All five feet and eleven inches. His head made contact and the ball began to fall behind him, propelled by his head bunt.

Silvia scowled as the older female spoke about the obvious. But went back to the game as Ryan head punted the ball, making it fall behind him and she grinned. She feinted to the left and went right, nudging the ball away from his legs with her sneakered foot. As soon as she had gained possession Silvia took off running, but tripped once she was close to the goals and fell forwards.
Silvia did not hit her head on the grass though, Sarah was holding her by the shoulders, up above the ground slightly. "T-thanks...um, you're new here right?" Silvia said quietly and Sarah nodded. "Yeah, introductions can wait till later, you have a game to play. You're okay though?" Sarah said with a soft smile and helped the brunette up before kicking the ball to Silvia smoothly and walking off the soccer field.
Silvia smirked a little before kicking it around, attempting to get over the fact that Sarah wasn't as bad as she had seemed. Silvia kicked it swiftly at the goals before turning around to see Sarah watching their movements with a strange intensity. Had the girl never seen someone play soccer before? Sarah smiled softly as she saw Silvia looking at her before motioning once more for Silva to pay attention to Ryan and the game.

Ryan grinned as he let Silvia take lead. He was a more show-your-gun-later type of guy. He followed after her, keeping a quick pace behind Silvia. He was a moment to late when she fell but rose an eyebrow as the newcomer helped her up. Odd behavior for a mutant. "Hey, no cheating. She didn't fall that hard," he teased. Clearly joking.
He moved ahead, taking the ball after Silvia made a goal and bringing it around her, seeing as she was momentarily distracted. Ryan was used to people watching him play. He was on a team before coming here after all. He made his first goal and did a fist air pump. "Get your head in the game, girl!" He said, laughing at himself.
