Thaddeus tried to keep his calm. His children were here. He'd seen them at the gates when he was brought in. It was all to brief. Angela and Kristopher had been taken away from him again and he hadn't seen them since. To say he was worried would have been an understatement. The one thing he'd always hoped was that his wife had had the decency to keep her own children safe.
He'd been ok with her leaving him. Sure it hurt but he understood it. He'd kept an important fact about himself secret from her. Thaddeus had even been ok with her taking the kids. But to think that she'd been so callous as to let them end up here. It was astonishing.
Since the day they'd thrown him in here he'd spent nearly every moment searching for them. Even if their mother had torn them away from him Thaddeus was determined to find and protect them now that they were here. Now he searched the shops, hoping that they might be here looking for him too.

Kristopher was looking around the shops hoping to find his father, from what he could figure out Angela had teleported them to their father during the time he was being captured. Of coarse that hot-headed, daddy's girl would just go without thoughts to the implications. He had been out when he was brought to Freakopolis and when he awoke he was in a cell, he had spent the next few days looking but without much luck. "Dad, Dad are you there?" Kristopher tried to yell so his dad could hear, "it's me Kristopher!"

The worry was apparent on the young girl's face and she met eyes with every one in the crowd. She'd pulled Kristopher in with her, and they'd been with their father for that brief moment. He was here. Her father was here. She just needed to find him...
The remorse and the regrets were pushed to the back of her mind as she searched for them. She could worry and hate herself later. Right now, she needed the strong arms of her father around her. He would forgive her, she prayed, even if Kristopher wouldn't. He would hold her and tell her that every thing would be alright and he would love her regardless of what she'd done. Her father was understanding that way. He knew Angela well enough to know that she never meant any harm.
Besides, it was all their terrible mother's fault. She'd made life miserable and threatened to send Angela off to some boarding school in order to get rid of her. As if she hadn't torn the family apart enough by that point. Her father would understand that she'd only done what was best.
Her father... Her head perked up as she heard some one calling out. It sounded like... And he was calling for...
Angela forgot her manners. She began pushing through the mass of people trying to find the voice. She didn't notice her own words spilling out: "Daddy? Daddy!?" The calls had sounded so much like her brother, and if he had found their father... Angela felt fat tears welling in her eyes. She would finally see her father again!

Thaddeus was about to give up for the day and go get something to eat. He wasn't sure he could tolerate another day of uncertainty about his children's fates. That was when the voice reached his ears. Kristopher! It had to be. Moments later he heard Angela's voice as well.
"Kristopher! Angela!" he shouted into the crowd, "I'm here!
He hoped it was true. Perhaps the worry had finally cracked his mind. It was a distinct possibility. Especially since he'd come to this crowded place willingly. No, Thaddeus was being strong for his children. He'd avoided coming here previously because of the people. He'd have time to break down once he had his children back at his side.

Kristopher heard Angela first but it was quickly followed by his father calling out to them both. Kristopher took off after the voice as quickly as he could, "Dad, Dad." Kristopher was so happy to find his dad he couldn't help but cry as he got closer, he wanted to tell him that he was sorry for breaking them up and how happy he was to see him again. When he finally got to his dad he hugged him as hard as he could burying his face into him, "long time no see you old geezer."

Shoving past the people in front of her, Angela finally heard her father's voice. That was it, all she needed before she went at a full sprint toward the sound. Nothing was going to stop her now. The entire world could be crumbling below her and she would have found a way to outrun it.
When the people in front of her weren't moving fast enough, Angela lost it. She shut her eyes and felt herself collapsing into time and space, and before she could open them again, something solid and warm was collected in her arms. As her lids rose, she saw the face of the man she'd missed for so long. Streaks of tears ran from her eyes and she burried her face in his shoulder. She was so familiar with him, she could have found him from the other side of the earth without combining the two. This was her father, her best friend.
Weeping into him as though she were nothing more than a little girl again, Angela couldn't manage words. All that came out was, "Daddy...! Oh, Daddy!"

Thaddeus threw his arms around his children as they came at him. He was crying as well. These were his beloved children that he hadn't seen in so long. They'd both grown since he'd seen them last. He wiped his own tears away. Right now he needed to support his kids.
"Hey monkey, angel. I missed you two." he said softly to them.
Whatever else had been running through his head had been banished the moment they came into view. It didn't matter that they were prisoners in a strange place. Nothing really mattered except these two. Thaddeus knew he'd do anything for them. (Just for clarity monkey is Kristopher and angel is Angela.)

Kristopher was so glad to be near his dad, it was sort of funny the three of them crying in the middle of a crowd, but not a bit of it mattered Kristopher had his dad again. He took in a deep breath, it smelled of ink, paper, and sweat from fencing. No question, it was his father's smell. Kristopher began to revert back years bulbering out of happiness, everything was right again. "It's so good to see you Dad, still practicing?"
