All of the secrecy and subtlety that was required to arrive in this secluded edge of the field was fairly likely to be without any compensation. Failure was implicit in experimentation, and even one with a superior mind as his was not without the capacity for error, he had to admit based on logic alone. It was not human error, of course, but it was error all the same. But the only way to be positively sure was to commence. Lucian looked down upon the body of what may well have been the first of many new servitors. Soon, it would have been preferable, he would not need to rob graves for very long. Live, lucid specimens would be far more preferable.
He set the body down; its pallid, gray flesh barely visible amid all of the metallic plating. Eyes that were once serenely shut in the eternal slumber of death were no more; replaced with green-tinted lenses not unlike Lucian's. The hands were largely preserved, in shape, though were now of solid metal, any remaining flesh nestled safely within the confines of the metal. Only, as with Lucian, did portions of the scalp and small areas of the torso truly remain. The robe of this new servitor was brown, and seemed to have been as patchwork as the exhumed body now was, presumably to portray subservience rather than carelessness.
Hanging limply from its back were a pair of metallic arms that ended in simplistic forms of hands, merely pairs of clamps with telescoping wrists. The face of the cadaver was the worst, however, deformed nearly to a metallic skull, with barely any thickness of flesh beyond it, with a plate similar to Lucian's over its mouth. All around the body, almost identical to Lucian, were protruding tubes and wires that protruded and reentered at regular intervals. Its hood was not drawn, and a few patches of bald scalp were visible amongst the myriad of metal plates. There was no cylinder on the back, as the degree of thought-processes were minimal and did not require as much hardware or power to create or process, but there was a pair of large tubes coming out of the robe; one reentered, and the other hung limply, ending in a strange metal apparatus that looked similar to one of the panels on Lucian's cylinder.
Lucian's larger arm took up this tube, the panel opening like a camera's aperture to reveal a hole that crackled with occasional jolts of electricity. With haste, wire met cylinder, and there was a loud humming emanating from the wire, the servitor, and Lucian himself, primarily in his cylinder. He was working far beyond what he had before, near to the limit of his processing, in order to impart a passable amount of starting power to the servitor. Audiovisual matrices were at their minimal operating level, and internal mental processes were all but shut down, calculations slowed to a sluggish, laughably near-human pace.
Then, the humming became quiet. The tube detached and retracted into the robe, and the panel shut with a soft hiss. After a moment of recovery, everything was back online and running properly. The servitor's eyes blinked to life, and it showed signs of motion. The clamps spun once, and there was a faint buzzing from the mouth-panel. Slowly, it stood, and glanced around before looking at Lucian. Lucian, all the while, was testing his ability to transmit orders properly. He knew there would be only such a limit, and he would have to test that soon enough. At last, it spoke, the voice coming out dully, with a similar metallic echo and lack of emotion to Lucian, but with uncanny tonal shifts and a slight change in pitch.
"Here to serve."

Jett dallied through the stretch of open field, taking the liberty to break into bouts of stretch-legged runs at his comfort. The sun was gentle in it's perch, lending its light and warmth charitably. One might confuse the season with summer, seeing the lively grass and feeling the pleasant climate.
Nothing in particular floated through the boy's mind. The man's mind. He mused on thoughts of remaining in this place forever, a notion that didn't chill his body like it did others. Strands of his conscious drifted back to the woman he had met, wrapping around mental images of her and reeling them before his eyes. Dastardly, perhaps, but such beauty needed to be admired in order to cultivate.
From a distance Jett spotted two figures. He could tell, even from his place, that they were disproportioned for regular beings. Not that it concerned him. He was a very forward fellow, not cautious at all.
"Good day to you then." Jett lifted his voice as he drew nearer, banking on his words arriving at their destination before the wind had it's opportunity to push them away. His eyes couldn't help but linger on the irregularities of the two before him. Questions of their sex and disposition lifted his brows, but the wise teaching of his villiage's leader bid him keep his mouth shut.
Instead the corners of his mouth lifted into a charming smile, showcasing his perfect teeth.

Gerg grabbed the boy and pulled him back out of sight of the mechanical monster and whatever twisted thing he had made. "Shut up boy unless you want to end up one of that things experiments." Gerg had his hand over the boy's mouth but let it go when he saw that the monstrosity hadn't noticed either of them. "Sorry about the abruptness of that but if you knew what I knew you would stay as far away as you could." Gerg looked into the boy's eyes so that he would know that he wasn't joking, "because the smaller one of the two was a corpse a few days ago."

Lucian looked over his creation, which stood with utter motionlessness and obedience as its progenitor surveyed it. Wireless uplinking seemed to be working properly, and the entity itself looked to be altogether functional. It was lacking, however, in autonomy enough to do anything outside of a set prime directive when out of range of Lucian's commands. He would have to fix that in later models. Another issue, so he saw, was of the power supply; the perpetuation of it was flawed, and he had known this since he first integrated it, but had already considered one of two solutions. Either fixing it or creating a power supply would suffice. If he could create a larger, more unwieldy power supply from another cadaver, a sort of living battery, he could charge his servitors from it.
The servitor shifted slightly, the clamps that served as hands gyrating once or twice before it spoke. "How can I better serve you, Progenitor?" Lucian considered it a fitting title, and addressed the servitor, "Did your audio matrices happen to detect and interpret speech, moments ago?" The servitor nodded in the affirmative. "That is correct, Progenitor." Lucian glanced in the general direction from where the voice had come, "Search over by the source of the anomaly." Lucian ordered. Carried by small treads instead of leg-motion or feet, the servitor obediently started towards the source of the noise, gyrating around diligently for any sign of life.

Jett's shock at suddenly being held down and quieted relayed itself in the form of a panicked girl-like scream, which was muffled by the large hand. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as his scream simmered down into a pathetic whine.
It took Jett a moment to realize the man had no intention to hurt him, at which point he snapped out of his state of stupor. His dark eyes flashed in surprise at the man's words. Doubtfully he rose to his haunches in order to see the figures over the tall grass. After a second's glance he dropped onto his chest.
"Holy crap. What the hell? It's coming over here." Jett's whispering was loud and desperate. "I'm too young to die. This is not real. This can't be happening. What did I do?" His eyes danced around himself. "I'm going to run. I'm going to run from it."
Jett sprang to his feet with the full intention of galloping away...

Gerg grabbed the kid before he could take off, "We would have been fine if you had shut up." Gerg said through gritted teeth as he looked for the next spot to hide, "Now look you can try to run but you will just get caught and then turned into one of them, so two choices come with me or so I have knock you out then drag you?" Gerg picked up a rock and threw it away from them it made a bit of a rustle in the leaves, with any luck it would make the corpse look the other way while they moved.

The teenager stopped abruptly as she heard a girl-like scream. What was it with people and disturbing her daily walks? God forbid if she actually found the noise maker. The girl walked towards the noise and recognised two of the four figures. Her smirk was one of mischief as she ran swiftly. "Lucian! Hey! Lucian! Remember me?" She yelled and waved as she smiled warmly.
She wanted to give enough time to the screamer to get out of there. "So, who's this? A friend of yours?" She asked curiously as she ran around to block the path of the other being that looked so much like Lucian.

Lucian moved to glance at the newcomer. Were it even possible, Lucian might have sighed, right then. Prattle such as this was unnecessary, especially now. He was attempting to experiment, not converse, and that he was attracting so many people the one time he endeavored to be away from them all was hideously ironic. The servitor was swift to move the girl out of the way as it approached the source of newfound noise, however faint, altogether likely vocal based on the faint hints of tone and the vibration in the air. There was another rustle nearby, which may have been another entity, but vocal disturbances took priority, and the servitor came upon two decidedly organic, human beings as it cleared out the bushes with the arms coming out of its back. Instantaneously the servitor made its way back towards Lucian, stopping promptly before him and speaking, “The source has been located. Two entities attempting what resembles covert surveillance. What is the next course of action?” The situation, as far as Lucian could process, had only worsened. “We depart,” he replied.
Lucian turned, and the pair started off in the direction opposite the girl and the two in the bushes. “You have done well for your first task. Your sensors show befitting sophistication, and you are properly obedient. Your combat prowess has yet to be determined, but we shall see in due time, depending on circumstance.” The servitor gave a nod of understanding, “My directive is to serve.” it stated.

Gerg had not been lucky, the corpse saw him and he wasn't sure what to do next. When it took off Gerg just sat there, he was tried of being made to look like a fool by tin cans. "Well I guess you can leave now kid and maybe change your pants." Gerg moved away from the kid who smelled of what he thought was urine to go talk to Silvia. "Thanks for trying to help but I guess that corpse doesn't have a concept of manners." Well I guess that I will fall back and... no when I fell back last time that thing was the result. I can't allow another, I'm making my stand here. Gerg's body began to tense up as he picked up a pair of large stones, "Silvia I'm going to need your backup on this one." Gerg then took off at a run carrying one of the two large stones in each hand when he got to the corpse he brought his arms up, "Sorry to have to mess your head up twice!" Gerg smashed the stones into each side of the corpse's head completely crushing it. He smelled cooking meat and ozone as the electricity cooked all that it came in contact with. The body twitched and convulsed then went limp, "I won't allow you to continue to defile the bodies of the dead."

The servitor was well aware of the threat-factor of the individuals in the bush, this information having been transmitted to it as soon as visual data had been transmitted to Lucian. As a result, the servitor had been on some degree of alert, and when it heard the voice of said threat behind it, it whirled around, catching the wrists of the attacker before the stones could be brought down upon it, using its third arm to push the attacker away and roll on its treads backwards to Lucian, who was already receiving the visual data of the conflict. Lucian grabbed the servitor, knowing it nowhere near as suited to escapes as Lucian, and launched himself via the extra-forceful emerging of his spider legs, on the move as he hit the ground, skittering off towards the nearest treeline, where he was sure to be a bit easier to lose.
He had expected such conflict as this to arise; thanks to that psychotic he knew he had to be subtle, as he would be accosted at every turn as long as such an abhorrent individual was around. Why anyone would rally behind someone who would attack someone who has not struck once in any sort of aggression, and in cold blood, no less, was beyond him. Simply because he was, of all things, raising the dead before them. Truly, he must fear progress, much less immortality. What destructive agenda did he pursue that the idea of perfection and eternity were threats to him? It was difficult to tell.

Jett barked in anger as he was, once again, pulled to the ground.
"What's with you?" He inquired angrily, snatching his body parts away from the overly insistent man. "When there's danger, one runs. You don't crouch in the grass and hope it doesn't recognize you. Believe me, that godforsaken thing recognized us. So let me be." He wasn't sure what possessed him to speak at this stranger who looked as if he could snap Jett in two with only one finger. Maybe it was the change in scene. He was feeling rather bold. Maybe it was that this guy simply wasn't making any sense.
Jett's head swung wildly as he spotted a girl trotting through the grass. His mouth hung open as she approached the robot guy. Amazing. This was unbelievable. He immediately concluded that her power was great and inconceivable. Jett found himself fearing her.
The fear for the woman didn't last long. A shadow fell over his head, beckoning his eyes to higher things. Sure enough, there stood the robot. Up close, it was terrifying.
Jett froze. His breathing stopped. His heart slammed against his chest.
And then as the being turned and retreated, Jett leaped to his feet and ran.
[Exit.]

(( Alrighty. I wanted to stop this in the process before it got too far out of hand.
A part of godmoding isn't only controlling another person's character, but also any NPCs a person brings into the scene. In this case, that is Lucian's pet robot. Having your charcater attempt to do something to it is perfectly fine, but writing out what happened to it as well is not allowed.
Also, Gerg, you need to make sure that when you're interacting physically with other people's characters, it is done so in a submissive manner. You can't just 'grab the kid'. You have to 'attempt to grab the kid' or 'try to grab him'. Unless, of course, you PM him and ask if you have permission to make it a definite.
Additionally, keep in mind that when an open thread is posted it is subject to any amount of people. When you want to disclose a certain number, say so! ([Open to 1]) That's perfectly alright.
Thank you all for listening. If you have questions PM me. You don't have to fix the posts you've already made. I want you to take this to heart.
**Oh, and when threading with more than one person you are asked to maintain a posting order. ))

(( I didn't really want to start conflict with the whole dealie so I just acted like it was an attempt, but I'm glad somebody said something, at least. I'm not in an arguing mood. As far as post order, the reason I broke it was so that this whole godmoding thing wouldn't be solidified and that I'd get a chance to react to it before everyone else jumped in on it. But thanks for clearing the whole thing up, Sulley. It's much appreciated. ))
