History:
Icicle was born on Friday September 13th in a hospital in Hobart, Australia. Her mother brought her home a few days later to find that her husband had run off with the next door neighbour. Icicle's older brother, Kane was five at the time and he had been terrified of the changes that had happened the Friday of Liliana's birth. But this didn't stop him from being the loving older brother that he always was to Icicle.
By the time Icicle was five and her brother ten, her father had returned...with a four year old daughter and a three year old son. The woman he had run off with had died of a brain tumour. The two new additions to the family were only pleasant around Icicle's mother. They hated her openly with the father, ironic huh? Liliana tried to ignore it until she noticed some of her belongings going missing after a few months. She hid under her bed and after a few moments, the four year old from Icicle's dad's affair snuck in. The girl looked around cautiously before going straight to Liliana's dressing table (of sorts). She pawed through Icicle's hair ties, clothing and then came to what she was really looking for...necklaces.
There was a silver chain with a sparrow on it and some sort of writing on the back of it.
"Score! That idiot won't even know it's gone." The younger girl cackled and Liliana silently slithered out from under her bed. Icicle reached the door and smirked as her half-sister turned around in a startled manner, dropping the necklace. Liliana chuckled darkly and the younger girl scowled at her.
"Not only a bully, but a thief as well...funny isn't it Julie?" Icicle said in a calm voice and her half-sister rolled her eyes.
"Where's your proof stupid?" The girl scoffed and Liliana shrugged one shoulder casually.
"Last time I checked, my room was monitored all the time by video cameras. Daddy's little idea." Liliana said and indicated to the black cameras that were constantly panning around the room from each corner of the rectangular room.
"Not too smart are we sister?" Liliana asked softly and Julie let out a strangled scream.
"YOU! YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! BRING HER BACK!" Julie screamed out wildly and lunged for Liliana. Icicle had expected this and stepped to the side, opening the door.
Julie ran out into the hallway and couldn't stop as she came to the stairs and fell down them.
"There now Julie, you can join your Mummy in the afterlife." Liliana whispered from the landing as she looked down at her half-sister's broken and twisted body. Moments later she threw back her head and let out a piercing howl that brought the whole house to a standstill.
"Lily what's wrong? Lily? Oh my god!" Kane hurried to her and tried to pull her away from the landing as he saw Julie.
"Come on Lily! She's gone and you can't do anything about it!" He whispered in her ear and her thoughts swirled incoherently around in her mind. She stared numbly down at the younger girl and then the three year old boy came to see what was going on, Liliana's mother right behind him.
"Joseph, Joey honey where are you going?" Her mother asked playfully before bumping into the three year old as he spotted his sister's body.
"Julie? Julie!" He cried and ran to his fallen sister.
His sobs echoed through the house and Liliana watched in slow motion as his piercing pale blue eyes rose to see her and Kane at the top of the stairs.
"You! You did this to Julie! You should die too! Die! Die! Hurry up and die!" He shrieked crazily at them and Kane growled in his throat.
"I'm sorry Joseph...she fell. We were playing tag and she fell down the stairs. I tried to help her, I did! But she was falling so fast...so fast Joey." Liliana lied to Joseph, as he would never forgive his sister if he knew that she had been stealing. In Joey's mind, stealing was as bad as saying that someone was the son or daughter or the devil. He sniffed and looked at Liliana in a new light.
"R-really?" He asked in a choked voice and Liliana nodded eagerly.
"Yes Joey, really." Liliana said and her mother shot her a look that said that her mother knew Liliana was lying. Liliana didn't care at that moment in time.
On her tenth birthday, Liliana's dad ran off with another woman. But he didn't come back this time. Liliana's mother filed a divorce and Liliana's father wanted custody of Joey, but Joey wanted o stay with Liliana's mother. Liliana's dad commited suicide a month after Liliana was given sole custody for Joey. He hung himself in the bedroom of the apartment that he had been sharing with the other woman. Liliana hadn't minded, afterall...Mummy wouldn't be crying and screaming in pain at night any more. That was good. Nothing much happened for the next couple of years.
There was a fire in the eastern side of Hobart when Liliana was twelve and her mother decided to move with them to America (as their house had been burnt to the ground). Colorado in fact, but that was beside the point. They hopped on a plane and became Australians who lived in America. Liliana's mother had been part of a company that had dabbled in computer parts and retail management. The company had made a tidy sum of money before merging with a larger company. So in retrospect you could call Liliana a member of the 'well off' society. They settled comfortably in Denver and celebrated Joey's tenth birthday that October. This was when Liliana first showed signs of awakening.
Whenever Liliana felt too warm, the air around her would magically lower in temperature and sometimes freeze. But she only experimented at home, it was safe there...or so she'd thought. Joey watched her make snow balls and peg them out the windows. He knew she wasn't normal...but he kept the secret anyhow. He didn't mind that at all, it made her interesting.
She was thirteen and a half when she accidentally caused a snowstorm at her house in the middle of summer. That caught the attention of some kind of secret organisation or whatever. There were cars that were constantly parked across the road from their house and people followed her family. She found it creepy and decided to ignore it. That is, until Joey ventured outside with her one day and he mentioned the cars and stuff. A person had been following them for a while but then Liliana told him that it was his imagination, their follower was listening in.
It was another three years before her powers grew even more noticable and were apparently rated at a dangerous level. The cars outside their house disappeared one day and Liliana grew suspicious. No one followed her around any more. It was a stormy night when a news reporter said something about a string of seemingly random snow storms in Denver. The scientists and climatographers couldn't explain it...but Liliana could.
Mutation: Cryokinesis (ice/water). Liliana has the mutation to control/create ice and manipulate water. This can sometimes cause weather anomalies of snow or blizzards. She cannot use her ability for very long, only about tweny minutes at any one time. Her body temperature is only half a degree cooler than the average human body temperature, an unfortunate side affect as she sometimes solidifies some of the water particles in a one foot circumference around her. If she concentrates hard enough and has had a good sleep and plenty of food to eat that day she can create one of two things: an ice wall that is approx. three feet long and one foot thick (defensive) or about fifteen small ice shards that she can gather up and throw at others (offensive).

Report of Mutant Capture:
Take a breath, hold it in.
Liliana stopped in the middle of doing her homework when there was a knock on the door. Her mother went to open it and there was the metalic click of a gun, maybe.
"Is your daughter inside?" One asked hollowly through a breathilator.
"Hold on a moment, I'll see." Her mother replied and shut the door on the ten men with the black body armour, guns and helmets.
"Lily, there are some men that have guns and black body armour on. You know them?" Her mother knocked on Liliana's bedroom door and Liliana shook her head. Her mother looked distinctly worried and Liliana smiled gently.
"They've finally come for me. Oh don't worry mum...I'll be alright." Liliana said reassuringly to her mother and her mother frowned slightly.
"Are you going to escape?" Her mother asked and Liliana shook her head gently.
"No, they'd come after me anyway and might even kill you. If I go peacefully maybe they'll play nice?" Liliana mused and her mother nodded. Her mother left her to her own devices and the front door was broken in.
Start a fight, you won't win.
The men came up the stairs with pounding boots and shouts. Kane and Joey came out of their bedrooms and looked shocked as the mass of black and metal surged towards and into Liliana's room.
"What the?" Kane whispered and Liliana sat on her bed and calmly looked up from the book she was reading.
"Hello, you must be here to take me away. just give me a moment and...-" Liliana was cut off as one of the men stepped forwards and struck her across the face.
"Shut up Mutant! We don't take orders from filth like you!" He snarled and she put a cool hand to her flamming cheek, cooling it down.
She frowned slightly before grabbing her black long coat. But they must have thought that she was reaching for a weapon because as soon as she'd clutched the black coat to her body, she felt the sting of a needle prick the skin at the base of her neck. At the moment the needle had gone through her skin, she knew that she could never trust anyone ever again. Never be nice, never be kind. Be mean, cold, hard. She slumped forwards as the thick paralysis and knock out drug worked it's magic. Her limp body was thrown over one of the men's shoulders and the other men began to pack her thigs into bags that they'd brought in.
"Everything packed?" One asked the others tonelessly and their helmetted heads nodded at once.
"Let's go." He ordered and they left her room, ignoring Joey, Kane and Liliana's mother as they cried out and screamed at the men.
Had enough, let's begin.
The large Jeeps rolled away from the house and the government official that sat beside the knocked out Liliana frowned. He noticed the blossoming bruise on her left cheekbone.
"Didn't I tell you to treat her as cautiously as possible?" He snarled and one helmetted man shrugged.
"We did, she wasn't cooperating." He replied and the official nodded in response.
"Good job anyways boys. We'll get her to Freakopolis soon enough." He said and that was the end of the matter.
