Bex didn't have much experiences with the opposite gender, at least not before coming to Freakopolis. She had been kept tucked away most of her young life. The only two male figures in her life for a long time was her father and Demetrio, who surprisingly came back for a reappearance. Sure, she held crushes through middle school and her short high school career but nothing was ever accomplished with those and with her last two years as a Dreamer, she's been getting a self-taught crash course on the opposite sex. Sometimes she does really well, like how she was with Jett at the marketplace, and sometimes she fails, like now with her face only just paling from it's recent rush of scarlet.
Bex rose a questioning eyebrow at him as her fingers gently brushed over the strawberry as she dunked it into the water repeatedly. "Ah, I see. That makes sense. No wonder you knew we could find a calm spot on this river," she said, smiling.
Be giggled when he asked her how he smelled and shrieked playfully. "Jett!" She placed her hands on his chest, turning her face away from his armpit and tried to give him a little shove but as usual, she was hopeless. She didn't have even enough muscles to do that.

Was it lack of muscle or willpower? Jett considered it to be the latter. He knew how to play with a woman. He was good at choosing his words. It wasn't that he lied or tried to deceive them. He was just very tuned to their station and usually knew the right music to play.
Jett laughed with Bex and took her wrists in his hands, moving them to the sides and pulling, hoping to force her into him. He would lean down into her face and say,
"Is that a yes?"

Bex's eyes were wide as she looked up to him. She really just now noticed how much taller then herself he was. She blinked, looking up at him, unsure of what to do, her defences against players not well built. Her knowledge of them limited to teen flicks she had seen before coming to Freakopolis. No player alarms were going off in her mind about Jett. Though, they should've been.
She surpressed a shudder as he pulled her to him. Though, she knew it was a good shudder, she didn't want him to see such a strong response to his touch. She let out a long breath. He was so close to her face. She could almost taste his words.
"What do you think?" she asked, taking the corner of her bottom lip into her front teeth.

"I think," and Jett let her go, moving to the sack to get more strawberries, "that you're avoiding the question. Therefore I'm left to conclude that either a) I smell horrendous and you're being a good friend by not telling me. Or b) I don't smell like anything so you're confused about how to answer a yes or a no question when you'd rather say neither."
He looked down at the strawberries in the sack. There weren't many left to clean. That would mean they would be finishing up soon and head over to wherever it was the Dreamers kept their camp. A pinch of nervousness crept up Jett's spine. Of course he knew the faction was the friendliest and the very best one he could ever dream of getting himself involved in. . .but there was still a looming fear of who might be there.
He swallowed it and resolved to brave ahead.
"Hey Bex, how about you tell me where and when to meet you for the eating of the strawberries with your friends, and I'll catch up with you?" He put the two strawberries he had just washed on the shirt and walked out of the bank. "I'll get my shirt back from you when I see you there."

Bex fought a grimace as he let her go. She shook her head with a playful smile as he began going through his smell options. "More toward b," she confirmed for him, with a nod of her head. "It's hard to smell above nothing when we have limited supplies. At least you bath. I think most of Freakopolis forgets about it." She wrinkled her nose, as if smelling those people right now.
Bex moved to put her strawberry on the shirt and picked up one of the remaining few. "Wow. Thank you Jett for all your help," she said, her voice gushing with gratitude...and maybe a little something else. She locked away her looming emotions, saving them for a better chance at them being returned. Now didn't seem quite so hopeful.
Bex snapped her head up from her thoughts as he spoke. "I'm going to set up a tent near the Northern Barrier after I go back to my cell and get dressed. I would say around....five, leaves plenty of time before they'll get really mad that we broke curfew." She smiled. The Dreamers were the peaceful ones but sometimes, they could be a little rebellious. She placed her newly cleaned strawberry on the shirt. "Oh, okay. I'll try to wash it for you," she said. Disappointment was quick to rush in but she reminded herself that he was going to the party. "See you then, Jett and thanks again." She picked up another strawberry.
