Liliana S. Ripley had many names the one she had been given in Freakopolis: Icicle and one that she had started to call herself by, Ripley. The seventeen and a half year old sat outside some place that the adults had told her to. It was some sort of clothing store or whatever, not that the moody teenager cared much. Her dark green eyes stared in unfocussed boredom at the pavement and her black hair fell forwards in natural curls and waves, the silver streaks aparent.
She was dressed in one of their silvery suit things, unfortunately it hugged everywhere and she wished that for once she had her old clothes. But for now she had to wear something wasn't 'her style'. She touched the small chain around her neck that had dog tags on it. One had Icicle engraved in it and the other had her personal information on it. She smirked and wrapped her slim fingers around the tags, breaking the chain and she then tied the long chain around her suit. She threaded the chain through the belt loops. "There, at least one thing that is truly my way in this place. Wherever I am anyway." Her Australian accent the most noticeable feature about her at the moment.
She tossed her head back and noticed that she was being watched by one of the men in uniform. She frowned at him and strode off to a small tree across the street and sat underneath it. Lily took out a small book of poetry before opening and shutting it in a distracted manner. "So boring! I haven't met anyone in this place yet...am I the only one here? Nah, not possible." She mused to herself before getting up and slipping the book casualy into one of her silver boots. She felt the artificial sun touch her face and she threw her head back, the silver streaks in her dark hair shimmering a little.
"What a nice fake day!" She joked softly and began pacing slowly. Left, then right...left then right. She then paused before doing a random twirl as she turned to begin again. She never got tired of pacing this way...at least she didn't think so.

Madam Weaver's was one place Mara hadn't been yet in her time here. She'd heard the word about it. She could make you an outfit that would enhance your powers but the woman herself was a gigantic mystery. It warranted a looking at. As Mara approached the place she noticed a young woman. She seemed to have already visited the woman, given her attire. When Mara stepped a bit closer she heard the girl comment about how nice a fake day it was. A smirk drifted onto Mara's features.
"At least they give us that much. It's a nice jail really." she said conversationally.

Liliana froze as she heard someone speak. "At least they give us that much. It's a nice jail really." The person said and Lily slowly turned around to see a young woman with a smirk on her face. "Yeah, well...I think that it is supposed to distract us and keep us busy. You know, make us forget that we're trapped here?" Lily said in an equally conversational tone.
She half smiled before noticing the nearest guard looking at her in surprise. She gave him a glare and rolled her eyes. "What? Am I not allowed to smile now?" She scoffed before looking back to the other female. "What's your name? Actual name of course....not the one that they gave you." Liliana asked before looking up at the sky. "It really is convincing though, isn't it?" She mused as she watched the clouds.

Mara chuckled. The girl had some spunk and was willing even to taunt the guards. That put a grin on Mara's face that wasn't likely to go away. She really did like people like that. The girl's personality from what she could tell would put her in a category that would likely sympathize with the rebellion if not join it at some point. Mara added her to the web of people in her head, waiting of course to finalize her thoughts until she'd gotten a good estimate of her power.
"Mara." she replied, "Yes it is convincing. I suppose that is why there are people here willing to forget that they've been imprisoned."

"Mara." The young woman replied and Lily nodded. "Yes it is convincing. I suppose that is why there are people here willing to forget that they've been imprisoned." "Liliana, Lily for short." Liliana introduced herself and then tried to formulate some sort of response to Mara's other statement.
"They're either willing to forget or they've grown up in here and know nothing else. But that's just my theory." Liliana pondered a little before shrugging one shoulder. Madam Weaver was late, she was supposed to be opening the seamstress shop or whatever now. There was no sign of her.

Mara nodded in agreement.
"Most of them willingly blind themselves. I've heard some of them reasoning that this is a better life for mutants." Mara snorted, "They fail to see that they have us right where they want us. They could do anything to us here and no one would notice or care."
Mara glared at the back of the head of a guard that was going off shift. How she'd love destroy him. The hatefulness of her grudge boiled up and manifested in the look of sheer hate she threw his way. When she turned back to Lily she was smiling.
"Not my place to criticize them I suppose though." she said.

"Most of them willingly blind themselves. I've heard some of them reasoning that this is a better life for mutants." Then Mara snorted and Lily nodded. "They fail to see that they have us right where they want us. They could do anything to us here and no one would notice or care."
"Yeah, but I guess they keep us in here to see how we interact. Also they keep one really feral kid in this place too, Fang I think it is? Government reckons that keeping us in here keeps the humans safe." She said before noticing the glare that Mara sent to the guard before smiling once more. "Not my place to criticize them I suppose though." Mara said and Lily laughed softly. "Oh well, if there's no one here to criticize then this place will be very boring soon." Lily said before the guard came wandering over closer.
"Fang is classified, you should know better than to talk about her like a common mutant." He said roughly before Lily rolled her eyes. "Don't you think you should be telling that to her?" Liliana gestured to a large chocolate brown wolf that had just materialised out of know where.
ooc: hope you don't mind... =)

Mara had to agree with Lily on that point. If what she and the rest of the Rebellion were doing wasn't 'critisizing' then she wasn't sure what was. A smirk drifted across her face as Lily talked back to the guard. This one had a nice attitude.
Of course the appearance of the wolf threw Mara off. She assumed this was the Fang that Lily had spoken of moments ago. If so beneath that fur lurked the heart and mind of a person. It was interesting honestly. To Mara, whose power did not really affect her body that much, powers like shapeshifting were quite interesting. In particular the process that the body must go through to take on the new form.
Mara decided to stay quiet until Lily, Fang, and the guard got their little mess sorted.

Silva was sitting calmly until she heard someone refer to her mutant name. "Fang is classified, you should know better than to talk about her like a common mutant." Said a male guard and the chocolate brown wolf flattened her ears to her skull, anger snapping within the depths of her hazel-green eyes. "Hey, Captain Obvious, yeah you in the black with the gun. You're the one who should know better. Scram fresh meat." She snapped viciously at the guard and he jumped in fright as he spotted her.
"Took you long enough to realise there was a talking wolf!" The wolf said dryly before geting back up onto all fours. This was enough for the guard to take a few steps back. "Stay a-away. I-I have a gun!" He said and she chuckled, this human thought that guns would scare her? "Like that's going to do much, you have three mutants who probably hate your guts. Quit while you're ahead. Or while you still have one." She said before loping towards him.
He shrieked very unbecommingly and bolted, dropping his gun. Silvia glanced at the gun before looking at the other two females. One was around her age, the other was older. "So how come I'm classified and everyone knows about me? Someone hasn't been doing their job right in this place." The wolf mused before sitting down and watching the two other females.

It took Mara a minute to process the fact that Fang could apparently talk while in wolf form. After that she watched in joy as said wolf proceeded to drive off the guard. Her laughter started out as a simple chuckle but quickly developed into a full blown laugh. It was hilarious to watch one of those guards get served so to speak.
"Well I don't know about why you would be classified but let's face it: this place is like a school. Anything that is supposed to be a secret will be known to the entire camp within half a day. Besides, those guards are idiots. It wouldn't surprise me if they'd spoken about you out loud in the market place."
Another chuckle or two rattled out of Mara.
"I'm Mara by the way." she said to the wolf.

Liliana watched in amusement as the wolf made the guard run away in fear. "So how come I'm classified and everyone knows about me? Someone hasn't been doing their job right in this place." The wolf asked as she sat down and Lily shrugged. "I'm damned if I know, I heard the infirmary patients talking." She answered and She smiled at the wolf.
"I'm Liliana, Lily for short if you like." She said and the wolf looked at Mara as she spoke. "I'm Mara by the way." Mara stated and the wolf nodded once.

One female has started laughing for all she was worth, the other was just smiling in amusement. Silva smiled a little before listening to one girl. "Well I don't know about why you would be classified but let's face it: this place is like a school. Anything that is supposed to be a secret will be known to the entire camp within half a day. Besides, those guards are idiots. It wouldn't surprise me if they'd spoken about you out loud in the market place." She said and Silvia nodded once.
"Well, that's a possible place. It's also supposed to be a secret that they chase me away from the food tents. But that is irelevant." Silvia said and felt herself start to like these two females. Althought it was hard to not like them, they were funny. "I'm damned if I know, I heard the infirmary patients talking." The other said and Silvia laughed gently. "Knowing my luck I probably sent them there." She joked before yawning widely, large teeth showing briefly before her jaws shut with a snap. It wasn't meant to intimidate, she was genuinely tired.
The older female chuckled a little more before introducing herself. "I'm Mara by the way." She said and Silvia pricked her ears. "I'm Liliana, Lily for short if you like." The other said and Silvia grinned. "My real name is Silvia, but you can both call me Silva. Nice to meet you, Mara and Lily." The wolf said before shaking her fur, getting some dust out.

Another chortle rippled out of Mara's throat. She hadn't laughed like this since she'd come to this place. This wolf, Silvia, she liked. Her sense of humor appealed to Mara and the hatred of this place that she held bottled up inside of her. Lily had a smart mouth on her and wasn't afraid to talk back when the guards got uppity. She was truly enjoying herself. Mara cracked her knuckles casually. It wasn't meant as a threatening gesture. She simply did it.
"Nice to meet you too."
The smile she flashed after that statement was genuine. It felt good to let go of the acts and false pretenses. It was really calming to just let go for a little while. The cold, calm face that she wore most of the time was a part of her to be sure. However so was this. She was acting now more like she had before she had come here. This was how she'd acted on the outside.
To say this place had changed Mara would be wrong though. She'd acted like this on the outside because she had been carefree. Now that she was here that carefree side had been striped away to reveal the self beneath. Maybe recalling that attitude was a good thing. To remind her of the contrast and who she'd been before.

"Nice to meet you too." Mara said and Liliana giggled at the prospect of having found some friends. Albeit Mara and a mutant in wolf form called Silvia. "This is great! I guess we're all friends now huh? We know each other's names for a start." Lily grinned and the wolf snorted in laughter. "I suppose. But I haven't really had friends before. Fogrive me if I make a lot of mistakes?" The wolf said in a dry tone and Lily laughed.
"How 'bout you Mara? You think we're friends yet? Or do we have to make a dog pile? No offence intended Silva." Liliana asked before Silva laughed. "None taken Lily, none at all. So how about it Mara? Want to be friends with a canine and a...Liliana?" The wolf had to pause for a second because she didn't know Lily's power, but no one seemed to mind.

Mara grinned. Having a couple of girlfriends would probably be a good thing for her. If nothing it would let her indulge her feminine side from time to time. Even if they were a wolf called Silva and a young women called Lily.
"Why not? Besides, I bet we could really cause some real chaos on a girl's night out! Not that there is any place around here for one of those."
Mara remembered how rowdy she'd been when she'd gone out with her female coworkers for one such occasion. They'd gotten kicked out of more than one club that night. Her grin stayed firmly fixed on her face. That had been a fun night. Of course the hangover the next day hadn't been so fun. But it meant she'd gotten to play a prank on her one female coworker that didn't get hangovers the next day at the office.
