Sulley frowned at the girl but not because of her. Mutant women were like a different creature altogether. You had men, then you had women. Then you had your mutant men and your mutant women. Sometimes trying to sort all of it out gave him a headache, so Sulley instead preferred to let it pass over him, with the occasional reverent glance of course.
"In circles." He hadn't said it to be funny; it was a fact of life here. You could only go up so far, and all around you were walls. He thought of a rat running on one of those wheels that people stuck them in to humor themselves.
"Where do I have to run now?"
He couldn't help but feel responsible. To him? Hell would come to earth as a festival before he'd say something like that. But could it be true? Could he step away from the zone he'd forced himself into three years ago and place an arm around her shoulders to draw her in.
Only in the guise of a different matter.
"If what you say is true then stumbling into me was your luck incarnate." Sulley glanced around them, ensuring no prying eyes had scurried into the scene while he'd been engaged with Emby. "For the sake of privacy, let me come closer." He muttered, not wanting the girl to become skittish and try to skirt away and accidentally fall to her death. The place they stood was wide but it wasn't that wide.
"You seem like the type of person I need to help me with things I need help with. Would you be interested in alleging yourself with the Rebellion?"

Emby didn't like to think that mutants and humans were that different. Circumstance is what changed them. Mutants had to run and hide from humans. That was it. there was no other difference, was there? Then again, how was she to know? She was mutant and even though she had a human mom, she sometimes wondered that if she hadn't been her mother's daughter, would her mom have turned her in on a different set of circumstances. Probably. Mutants were made out to be bad.
Emby didn't even respond to his comment. She wasn't sure if he was serious or not. It was a laughable comment but then again, Sulley stroke her as someone you didn't laugh at. Not unless you wanted to experience a wicked mood swing from him. Emby didn't exactly need nor want one of those at this moment.
Emby didn't mean to make him feel responsible. He hadn't been the reason she was sent here. He was actually one of the first people that calmed her, though he initially freaked her out and has done a few times sense. The calm moments canceled out the panicked ones though in Emby's mind. She didn't expect Sulley to reach out and comfort her but she didn't expect for him to say what he did next either.
She stared at him in question and watched as he drew closer to her. She didn't think anyone else could possibly be up there with them but Sulley also seemed like a cautious person. Why make fun of other people's worries? Emby wasn't like that. She'd be a hypocrite if she did, considering all her fears.
"You're...Sull-Sulley?" She asked, eyes growing instantly wide. A smile crept over her lips. It wasn't exactly one of joy but similar to that. She'd been warned about him but she never listened to them anyway. She didn't want to be a Dreamer or a Neutral and not a Protector. She promised herself she'd get out of here and Sulley was her ticket. The Rebellion was her escape. "I'd be an idiot not to," she told him and for the first time, she didn't need to run. She was going to learn how to fight.

Sulley nodded. He nodded again. Maybe she wasn't as weak and fickle as she seemed. Maybe he wouldn't need to keep an eye on her as much as he thought he would. Maybe his intention behind bringing up the Rebellion wasn't as far out there as he initially hesitated over.
"Then join us. But I don't mean that how it sounds." And he probably didn't say that as he meant. "I want you to be with us but not with us. Do you understand me?" Sulley got even closer and spread his bent fingers, touching his tips together to make a sphere. His dark eyes sang of excitement as they looked down at his hands. "I want you to join the Dreamers for the Rebellion." Could he even word what he was asking this girl to do? It was sneaky, malicious, and dangerous. But sacrifices had to be made for the larger cause, right?

Emby blinked in disbelief as he nodded his head. How could she not have known that [i[he [/i] was Sulley. Then again, he'd only given his mutant name. While waiting for him to continue, Emby's mind shot ahead. If she got out, she could see her mom. If she got out, she'd prove her father wrong though she didn't really want to get out for that reason. If she got out... If she got out... Anyway, it seemed like both Emby and Sulley misjudged each other a lot in their short meeting. She listened to his words as he spoke but only grew confused. "I don't understand you." But when he said what he meant, or at least gave Emby a statement she could properly interpret. "You want me to be a dreamer," she said flatly. All the excitement of joining the rebellion ebbed. "What the hell--" She started of yelling but quieted her voice. "do the dreamers have to do with the rebellion? They just party and act as if this is the new party scene." She shook her head, clearly confused by Sulley's idea. "Do I even look like a dreamer?" But with a second's thought she held up a hand. "Don't you dare answer that." If Sulley needed to see a stronger side to Emby, well, this would probably be the time.[/blockquote]

As Emby raised her voice Sulley reached forward to cover her mouth, but she quieted for him so he didn't have to restrain the woman. He replied in a loud whisper.
"Don't you get it? You'd be a Rebellion spy. Yes, you look like a dreamer. You look young and lost and pathetic and weak and I know without a shadow of a doubt that they'll open their arms up to you." He absently reached out and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear. "But that's why I need you, don't you see? None of that stuff is true," he lied, "but we want them to think that so that they'll never suspect you. I'll need you to win favor in their eyes, specifically the eyes of the higher standing officers, and then I'll meet you and you'll pass on what you've heard." Sulley took a breath.
"You need to do this. It's the only way you'll be of any use to us. I'll still work with you. I'll teach you to fight, to be strong. I'll protect you." At this point his hands were on her shoulders. He obviously really wanted her to do this.

Emby crossed her arms over her chest as he tried to explain himself. She processed his words as he spoke them. Spy. Young. Lost. Weak. Pathetic. She didn't flinch as he tucked the hair behind her ear. Needed. Lies. Favor. Power. Information. His idea swam around in her head. "I thought the Rebellion was all about getting out. The Dreamers simply don't care. If...and I say if...I'm going to do this, what purpose does it serve? And I think I should know." She was already saying yes in her mind. Anything to be a part of the Rebellion. It stung a little to be told that this was all she could do to be useful but she also didn't get the big picture of Sulley's grand idea.
"We'll meet here...?" She meant to say it as a statement but something about Sulley warned her not to go bossing him around. It only made sense. He was technically about to her her boss. She looked square into his eyes, oddly not feeling uncomfortable with his grip on her shoulders. How badly did he need this information? "Jacob will be wondering why I joined the Dreamers..." she mumbled but it was definitely audible to Sulley's ears.

Sulley's nerves cooled down as she asked him questions, suddenly not sounding as incredulous as she had moments ago. If she took this...it would be big. It would be huge.
"Dreamers mean nothing to me. Remember that. But there's something going on with them. They party less. They've been whispering. Something's up," he glanced to the side warily, and as he did a sharp pain shot through his hands, almost as if a mutation of the girl's had done something to him. Sulley jerked himself away from her. She didn't seem as if she'd done anything. Why did he feel so hot?
"Yes, here. We'll meet here." He said distractedly, scratching the back of his head. Oops. His hair was sharpened. His fingertips were sliced, but he clenched his fist to make sure she wouldn't see. "Go now. Do what you have to to join them." He felt light headed. His skin itched and burned and a sweat broke out on the back of his neck.
Sulley looked up at the sky with a puzzled expression, looked back down at Emby, and then turned and stumbled away, back around the corner.
It wouldn't be long before his foot caught a stone and in his confused haze he would take a short tumble down the cliff.
[Sulley Exit.]

Emby had a sinking feeling of fatigue. Just merely trying to fight with Sulley (though I don't think it could really be called fighting) left her feeling a little less in control. Well, more out of control then usual.
She nodded her head, listening carefully to his paranoia. her eyes widened however as he jerked away from her. She tilted her head at him, eyes wide. he was acting weird but then again, none of Sulley's actions had made sense to her since upon meeting him.
"Okay. A particular day..." But her question faded off. He was getting more and more distracted by the moment it seemed and Emby's eyes clouded with a distant worry. He didn't seem right. his behavior was like that off a hurt animal.
She took a few steps after him when he suddenly just walked away but stopped. "Sulley?" She called softly. She back against the stone she had been messing with earlier and slid down it. She let all her thoughts upon meeting Sulley swim in her head, the newer ones trying to make sense of what was going on. OOC:: This took forever to get down. lol. Hope it makes sense.
