That too. Plus Laurel (sp?), another infected wasin the market place, with Maku actually and they are both sick. Stephen Cross, infected, was talking to Jasmine, I think is an infected (right?) and bam. That was in the cell blocks. Market Place and Cell Blocks are easy places to get infected since everyone goes there. Northern Barrier seems to be starting point. Or at least, i think it makes sense. Other theories?

I'd like to mention that a virus is non-living. So I extremely doubt Rosenna can kill it. It would work if it was a parasite or bacteria.
For origin. Maybe it was a created strand of disease, implanted during a recent examination. Meaning a newer character brought it in. So far, age difference spans from fifteen and twenty-seven, with Thaddeus(Geist) being an outlier of fourty one. We could say it infects best between those ages.
We need to know what the virus attacks in the body, then we could consider Gerg.
For regeneration, a form of cell transplantation would help. But the thing is, we would have to consider blood type and such.
Also I was thinking, if the infected person uses their mutations, the virus spreads and attack faster. Just for the idea for a need to respond faster to the virus.

Maku is right about blood type, though Gerg's organs were removed multiple times which could mean that they don't try to overload the host's body but we won't know until it happens.
As for the new character that could have infected the whole camp my suspect is Stephen Cross, he was blinded and given cryptic instructions that have been yet to be revealed.

I couldn't help but notice how they mentioned that the most intelligent of Mutants were to address the cure. The just lit up the buzzer on Claude's table. He's a friggin genius, albeit a masochistic and coniving one at that. Maybe i'll just let him play up his douchebaggery at the start but he'll help out of course...maybe even isolate the strain in secret.

You might not get very far, Gerg would be more likely to give you a left hook than a drop of his blood if you come in with that sort of an attitude. Also since time is of the essence and if your character is a smart as you say he is he will figure that out, he will realize that working in secret will cost time and potentially lives.

Presumably immune to infection due to having so little flesh left in him that he makes Darth Vader look overweight, I'm toying with the idea of Lucian using this to push forward his idea of 'perfection' in mechanized life. And, if he does garner any support, create a sort of cult out of it. Any ideas or comments on that?

As it is, Claude is smart enough and confident enough to be able to save himself. The fact of the matter is whether he decides to help others. Of course, he'd require something in return. Why save everybody else if he can just save himself or at least piece of everybody before saving them.
As for Gerg, no disrespect, but Claude could probably cause him to implode into himself for even attempting a right hook. What Gerg fails to realize is that Claude couldn't give a shit for the lives of others. If nobody wants his help, he doesn't mind, but considering that he's the smartest thing on the planet. If your character is smart at all, will he let his emotions regarding Claude interfere with what he needs to do? After all time is of the essence and lives are at stake aren't they?
I've written my character as an absolute asshole, and intend to play him as such. He won't have a sudden change of character because of something like this. He's not afraid of the Virus and he has no emotional attachments to the other mutants. I may make a nicer more docile guy in the future, but for the moment I enjoy playing my genius with the whacked out moral compass . And if you want your character to charge headlong into mine, by all means let him. Just don't expect me to pull back any punches.
Come on seriously, everyone needs a villian in their life. I'm not saying that Claude is evil incarnate, but i'm not saying he's anywhere near a saint. He's only looking out for himself and nobody else. P.S. For the sake of anything and everything, i am nothing like my character so don't take Claude's actions out on me.

Ah, well, my character is a little more of an "evil" than a "douche", as you can see just by reading his profile. An inexorable force that, like any good villain, cares only for his own advancement and that his goals are fulfilled. Presently, he is doing the closest thing to being a good Samaritan that he would ever allow. Instead of for his own sake, he believes he is doing good by immunizing everyone to the disease and 'purifying them' through the machine. Plus, it's capitalizing on the fear of this disease and of an imminent-appearing death and giving him power that he really, really shouldn't have.

Implode Gerg and he get back up and do it again. Plus he is a former hired killer so eventually he will get even.
The mechanical living won't really kick off even with the virus, and that is assuming you don't get infected too.
Gerg is insane and his emotions will get out of hand intelligence not withstanding, so yeah he will try to kick your guy's ass for being an ass.
Don't worry your character and you are both considered different people, otherwise people would just hate Sulley.

I guess it's down to the matter of whether Gerg loves his friends more than he hates (he can't exactly hate someone he meets for the first time) or is annoyed at Claude. And yeah the kicking ass part can go as far as being tried.

yes, gerg is very good at flattery. uhm anyways.
Claude, if you try to hurt Gerg, and she will probably not like you in the first place, Rosenna might want to kill you.
i would also like to inquire what would happen if you were to take away the body part that the virus was affecting? like what I did to Sulley's finger? What would the virus do if i just mostly killed the person? Does that make sense?
