History:
Not much to tell about Silvia, or Silva as she likes to be called. She was born on the 10th of June to a loving mother and older brother in Denver, Colorado. Her father had died abroad, so her mother never talked about him. Silva had grown close to her brother by the time she was ten years of age. Her brother had been twelve when their mother had told Silvia that her brother was actually her cousin. His real parents had died in a flood. Her brother didn't know this until Silvia was thirteen.
Silva had had a fight with him over something trivial, she couldn't remember what. But she had burst out with:
"What do you know anyway? You're not my big brother so you can't tell me what to do!" His expression still pains her to this day. He ran away and the first time that Silvia used her mutation was to look for him. She had suddenly turned into a large chocolate brown wolf. Silva found him in a dangerous part of Denver, with shady looking men closing in on him.
Her vision turned red and her body launched forwards, like being controlled by someone else. She wasn't usually a violent person, but she had bitten at least three of the four men before they started panicking. Her older brother had a fearful expression on his face and she had turned around to find him trying to run away from her. A spear of pain in her lungs made her realise that she was panting and she noticed that she had the taste of blood in her mouth.
Her brother scrambled up off of the cement he had been sitting on and she cringed in pain as her body went back to being human.
"Silvia? You, look at what you've done! They were going to take me home, you might have killed them!" Her brother shouted at her and she took a step back from him.
"But I-I thought you needed help, t-they looked so mean and evil." She said in a guilty voice and he shook his head.
"Your mother and I aren't safe around you any more. Stay away from now on, don't come back. I don't want to see you around your mother's house." Her family member stated and she tried to quell the rage inside herself, but failed. An animalistic snarl wrenched itself from her throat and she punched him. She ignored his taunting stare and flexed her hands, walking out of the alley as she did so. He would be safe as long as he didn't get in her way.
"You come near me Sam and it will be the last thing you do." Her voice echoed into the alley as she disappeared into the crowds heading to the suburbs.
She had a fairly uneventful life until she was sixteen, when she tried to go and visit her mother. Silva had been guarding the house relentlessly, half waiting for her older cousin to leave the house without her mother and the other half was because she was worried for her mother. It was the 12th of July when her cousin left to do some errands, leaving Silvia's mother in the house alone. Silvia knocked politely on the front door and her mother opened it a little.
"Who is it?" Her mother asked suspiciously and Silvia looked at her through the crack in the door.
"It's me mum, Silvia?" She said and her mother threw the door open.
"Oh honey child! I thought you'd gone and died! That's what Sam said, he said you'd fallen off a bridge." Her mother cried out and pulled Silvia into a tight hug. At this moment, Sam came back. Of course he didn't realise who she was until it was too late. She'd grown taller and become slimmer, her hair had grown longer and her figure was curvy now. Silva was now a young woman.
"Oh my Silvia, my Silvia. My little silver child how you've grown." Her mtoher whispered in Silvia's ear and Silvia hugged her mother gingerly. She had been living in homeless shelters and wearing clothes out of the clothing bins, it had been hard leaving her mother behind.
"May I ask who you are?" Sam asked and rudely interupted their reunion. Silvia's mother had sensed something was amiss and swatted at Sam's head.
"This is Silva Freeman, she used to be a friend of Silvia. She's come to give her condolences." Her mother said without flinching and Sam blanched at the mention of Silvia's name.
"Oh. Did you help her fall off the bridge did you Silva?" Sam said and Silvia smiled at him. Her inner canine wanted to rip him to shreds and smear him from one end of the street to the other. But she reigned it in, tied it down and locked it away for now.
[volor=violet]"No, she is still alive Sam and you know it."[/color] She said in icy calm and her mother let her into the house, fussing and cooing over her. She stayed for an hour and then left. She kept visiting, often bringing a hand made card for her mother or something. Sam eventually realised that this pretty girl was actually Silvia...she was a few days away from her seventeenth birthday when Sam told the government exactly where to find her.
Mutation:
Her mutation is that she can morph into any canine she wishes. There was something that went wrong in her DNA and somehow she became able to do this. Silva can only change into a canine, but it has to be the same weight as her original 'human form' so some of the canines e.g. a domestic dog would most likely be larger than normally possible for their species/breed to consistantly handle her normal weight (if that makes sense). She can only change into canines e.g. wolf, dog etc.
It takes her about half a minute to change into a domestic dog and anything up to a minute for the other canines. As her bones and body structure are shifting when she changes into a canine it causes her pain. But as she has used her mutation often it doesn't hurt her that much any more. She can stay in her canine form(s) for anything up to a month but must change back after that because she fears being stuck as a canine for the rest of her life.
She changes when she feels intense feelings, like fear, hatred, anger etc. But her power has been known to change her into a dog while she is asleep (having a nightmare or something). In cases of extreme feelings like anger she can change in about 15 seconds.
Mutation Key: Tinkerbell
Report of Mutant Capture:
On the 7th of June a call was made to the government and a team of black armoured men were dispatched to deal with the reported mutant. Silvia knew that they were coming, she had told her mother that she was going to be taken to another place. Her mother had protested wildly at first, but had seemingly accepted the fact that her daughter was going to be snatched cruelly from her once more.
It was the 8th when they appeared, right as Silvia was walking out the front door of the house. Sam was waiting for something, Silva didn't know what though. But he had a smug smirk on his face and a frightening look in his eyes. A convoy of black trucks materialised in front of the house and Silvia's mother appeared in the doorway. Her mother knew why they were here, to separate her from Silvia. Silvia walked calmly down the porch steps until Sam pushed her and she fell onto the pavement, her hands and knees grazed.
Silvia's mother cried out and ran towards her, but the men with guns came out of the truck convoy. Silvia watched in slow motion as one man said something strange.
"Quick! The other mutant is coming to help its offspring!" He shouted and Silvia's mother looked at them in surprise.
"What are you talking about? I am not a mutant!" Silvia's mother cried, but it was no use. A gun was fired and Silvia's head jerked around to see Sam with a pistol, the barrel smoking. She saw the spreading crimson stain on her mother's chest and her mother sank to her knees.
"Silvia...smile baby, smile for me honey child.....I'll be watching you. Never forget." Her mother spluttered feebly and she eased herself onto the ground. Silvia watched helplessly as her mother bled out, but her hazel eyes slowly rose to meet Sam's icy blue.
"Why? W-why Sam?" She choked out as her vision became blurred with salty tears.
"Because I can...I wanted to hurt you little miss. I wanted to make you cry." He said in a proud voice and Silvia snarled. The men moved towards her and she looked back at her mother. Her mother was dead. She took one look at the men and Sam smiled cruelly.
"You can take that filthy woman's body to wherever you're taking her offspring. Bury her there, not where other people will be able to visit her." Sam smirked and Silva's hatred of males began. The men drugged her and threw her into the back of one of the trucks before taking out a body bag and putting her mother in it.
"You....planned this.........bastards." She said softly before slumping back into the leather seat.
